LONDON (AP) - Excitement is building as Harry Potter fans flock to bookstores around the world, waiting for the seventh and final installment in the series.
The witching and, in this case, the wizarding hour is one minute past midnight Greenwich Mean Time. That's when bookstores in Britain will fling open their doors to put the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" on sale. Shops in Singapore, Australia and other earlier time zones will begin selling it at the same time.
In the U-S, the book goes on sale as midnight strikes in each time zone. Harry's creator J.K. Rowling is giving a midnight reading to an audience of 500 children in the Victorian setting of London's Natural History Museum.
