Pattersons Talk to Eyewitness News

Joyce Patterson is where she wants to be, home with her husband, daughter and grandson.  "I'm doing great," says Joyce Patterson.

She's feeling even better now that investigators believe they know who abducted her from the Viola convenience store where she worked Monday. The Patterson's are limited in what they can say but are relieved investigators have suspect.

Tips from the public led investigators to suspect Robert Abner. A man the Patterson's want off of the street so Joyce can put this behind her. "It's a nightmare is what is, what she endured. For her to come through as strong as she is surprised me tremendously," says Larry Patterson.

She says support from family, friends and people she doesn't even know is helping her get through this. "It's amazing, it's overwhelming," Joyce says.

She's trying to keep her mind off of it. Her two-year-old grandson helps, he hasn't left her side since she came home. "It's hard to get that special time because now she has to fight over both of us. He's been on her shirt tail ever since," Larry says.
