The YMCA will not be giving out the seasonal flu shot at its Wellness Day on Tuesday. This is due to the shortage of the vaccine.
The nonprofit says it will still offer flu awareness, along with the following services - information on staying healthy during the flu season, along with blood pressure, body fat, BMI, hip & waist, and blood work screenings.
"We are making a strong effort to provide easily accessible and reliable resources for families to educate themselves on leading health issues. Through free Wellness Days, we hope that more members of the community will rely on the Y for valuable information to help reduce health risks for obesity, heart attacks, diabetes and more," Greater Wichita YMCA Health and Fitness Director Rachel Stuhlsatz said.
