Mangino Says School Investigating Incident

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Kansas is conducting an internal investigation into what it calls a personnel matter involving football coach Mark Mangino. Athletic director Lew Perkins met with the entire football team Monday night. Mangino, the national coach of the year two seasons ago, was not present. Perkins issued a brief statement Tuesday confirming that an internal review was being conducted. During his weekly meeting with reporters on Tuesday, Mangino declined to discuss specifics but said he had apparently lost the confidence of some people. He did not name them.
