People began showing up early for Saturday's concert.

The cold was the only complaint from those headed to the Brad Paisley concert Saturday.   Doors opened at six o'clock for the first concert at the Intrust Bank Arena.

Many people arrived early to find a parking space. Large signs and parking attendants stood at the entrance of each parking lot. People paid cash as they drove in and parked their cars.  Brian and Tricia Petz say the process was easier than they expected. They drove through the area earlier in the week to get a feel for the parking. They chose an $8 lot at Mead and Waterman, just a block and a half from the arena.

Others paid $25 and had a space reserved directly across the street from the arena. Those using that service say it was worth the money. With the cold weather they wanted to avoid walking any distance, so they signed up for the closest parking available.

People who didn't want to pay anything parked at Lawrence Dumont Stadium and took a bus or shuttle to the front door of the arena. Those getting off the buses say they were impressed.  They say buses were lined up so no one waited in the cold for more than a few minutes. They were curious to see if things went as smoothly after the concert.

After all of the complaining and wondering if there was enough parking for the arena, everyone Eyewitness News spoke with say the process was easy and painless. One woman said the parking situation was 100% better than she thought it would be. The group she was with said after this experience they'd be willing to attend every event at the new arena.
