Step 1 - Bottom Layer
1 stick butter
1 cup flour
1/2 cup pecans
Mix melted butter and flour. Add pecans. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown and edges pull away from the side of the pan. Set aside and let cool.
Step 2 - Middle Layer
1 box instant chocolate pudding (large box)
1 box instant vanilla pudding (small box)
Mix together both chocolate and vanilla pudding according to pudding instructions. After thoroughly mixing, pour pudding on top of bottom layer.
Step 3 - Top Layer
1 Cream cheese (8 oz.)
1 Cool Whip (small tub)
1 cup of powder sugar
Mix together cream cheese, cool whip and powder sugar. Pour over middle layer of pie. Smooth out evenly. Add pecans as garnish to the top. Chill until ready to serve.
