UPDATE: Thanks to the generosity of Dillons, Baker's and Gerbes customers and associates, more than $21,600 in donations have been collected in the past two-and-a-half days to support earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.

WICHITA, KS – January 15, 2010 – In response to the unimaginable tragedy in Haiti, Dillon Stores and Red Cross have partnered to provide an easy way for customers and employees to make donations at all Dillons, Baker's, Gerbes, and Food-4-Less (Fremont, NE) locations across Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri. The contributions collected will benefit the relief effort in Haiti.
Beginning today through January 30, 2010, customers and employees will have the option to give a cash donation or round-up their order to the nearest dollar at the register, when doing their regular grocery shopping.
"On behalf of the people affected by this disaster, the Red Cross truly appreciates the continued support from Dillon Stores," said Red Cross Spokesperson James Williams. "The money raised will provide food, water and shelter at a time needed most."
