(HESSTON, Kan.) — Saturday is the 20th anniversary of the Hesston tornado. The F5 twister tore through Hesston, Pretty Prairie, and Burrton.
Two people were killed. The tornado was on the ground for about two hours, causing more than $25 million in damage.
About 250 homes and businesses were destroyed.
