Mulvane Residents Asked to Conserve Water

June 22, 2010

by Kim Hynes (MULVANE, Kan.)

Mulvane residents are asked to conserve water. Starting Tuesday night through Thursday morning residents are asked to only use water for bathing, cooking and laundry.

The conservation is needed for a water main repair. The City of Augusta will repair the water main that provides all water to the city of Mulvane. The repairs are expected to take 12-16 hours. During that time, no water will be pumped into the system.

Once the repairs are complete, the city says it will take time to refill the water tower. It says by conserving, it will ensure there's an adequate supply for the community.
