Driver killed in Sumner County crash near Viola

(SUMNER COUNTY, Kan.) — One person is dead after a car and pickup collided in Sumner County.

The accident happened around four o'clock Tuesday afternoon on K-42, about two miles West of Viola.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a Saturn driven by Angela Johnson crossed the center line and hit a truck.

Johnson died in the crash. The driver of the pickup, a man from Indiana, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Johnson was 24-years-old and lived in Wichita.
