June 30, 2010|by Brian Heap | KWCH 12 Eyewitness News

(WICHITA, Kan.) — Wichita Public Library locations will officially begin providing wireless internet access to customers in all library locations on July 1.

The library credits a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. The $122,500 grant will also allow the Library to add more computers offer more classes to the public. Wi-Fi is free to use.

Customers must log on with their Wichita Public Library card and password. Hands-on help sessions are scheduled for all locations to assist customers with connecting to the Library's Wi-Fi.

Library officials say adding new computers will help reduce wait times for public workstations.
