(TOPEKA, Kan.) — If you haven't requested an advance ballot for the primary election, you're running out of time.

The last day to request one is Friday, July 30th. Voters can contact their county election office or download an application online.

All ballots must be received by the close of polls on Tuesday, August 3rd. Kansans can also cast an advance ballot in person at their county election office.

The deadline to cast an advance ballot in person is noon, Monday, August 2nd.

Many Kansans have already voted in advance.  The Secretary of State's Office says as of 8 a.m. on July 28th, more than 72,000 advance ballots had been mailed.  More than 36,000 have been returned and more than 7,000 people have voted in advance in person.
