WICHITA, Kan. — The Wichita Sports Hall of Fame inducted it's 2010 class of honorees, Saturday at Hillside Christian Church.
13 inductees were annouced including Wichita State basketball radio color analyst Dave Dahl, former Shocker and US Open Bowling Champion Justin Hromek and Friends University football player and Wichita Wild Defensive coach Morris Lolar.
Along with them, Chris Davis accepted the honor for his late father, Larry, who managed the NBC World Series for many years.
He took over for founder Hap Dumont upon his passing.
"I think a lot of people thought the NBC would never survive but he gave selfishly his time and that was the only think in his life; the NBC," said Davis, receiving the award.
"He would always say, 'they are not going to find me dead over here!' Well, thank God they didn't."
Other inductees of the 2010 class were the Garvey Family, Warren Hardy, Don Lock, Sara Lungren, Ray Romero, Joe Stevens, Herm Wilson.
