WICHITA, Kan. — The Haysville Heat rallied in the 8th and 9th innings to overtake the Chillicothe Mudcats, 6-4 at the NBC World Series, Monday night.
Haysville led 1-0 in the third inning, before letting the Mudcats level the score by walking in a run. Chillicothe scored one in the 5th and two in the 6th to take a 4-1 lead, before letting it slip away.
The Heat will play the winner of the Valley Center/San Diego game on Tuesday.
The Derby Twins couldn't re-capture the magic of their first win, getting trampled by the Sedalia Bombers from Missouri, 15-4.
