(WICHITA, Kan.) — The Wichita City Council approves tougher rules for inflatable play areas.
The 6-1 vote makes inspections of air-filled devices more stringent. It also creates new rules on the setup of inflatables and adds emergency procedures.
The changes come after a five-year-old boy died earlier this year on an accident at a Wichita business. The company, Pure Entertainment, plans to re-open after a 90-day forced closure.
