(WICHITA, Kan.) — A burn ban is effect for all of Sedgwick County including Wichita. It went into effect at four o'clock Monday afternoon.
This means that no outdoor burns are allowed, including burning trash in a barrel, campfires, bon fires, and grass and field burns. It does not restrict barbecue grills.
Fines for a violation can cost up to $1,000. The burn ban is for an indefinite period of time.
