Norwich woman killed in Sumner County crash

(ARGONIA, Kan.) — Authorities have identified the woman killed in a Friday morning crash at K-42 and Argonia Road in Sumner County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Kylie Hare of Norwich died when she pulled in front of a grain truck.

The driver of the truck was not hurt.

Noon Update

A crash in Sumner County leaves a woman dead.  It happened around 9:40 Friday morning at K-42 and Argonia Road.

Authorities tell Eyewitness News a grain truck was headed west on K-42 when a car pulled out in front of it.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say the driver was a young woman in her late teens or early twenties. She has not been identified.

The truck pushed the car 500 feet down in to a ditch and tipped over, spilling grain.

The driver of the truck was not hurt.
