(WICHITA, Kan.) — It's mission is to help feral cats in Kansas. It's a job that's hard to do without food.
Friends of Felines says someone stole thousands of dollars worth of cat food and litter from a storage area. The group bought the food to feed nearly 200 wild cats it cares for.
The group also spays and neuters the animals to help control the pet population.
"We like to do what we can in our corner of the world to help save cats," said Wayne Roberts, Friends of Felines vice-president.
In addition to helping wild cats, the group also provides food at cost or less to people who care for cats.
Eyewitness News first introduced you to the group and their efforts last year. You can watch our story on the side of this page.
