(WICHITA, Kan.) — Wichita police believe a man who was hit by an SUV while crossing Kellogg was drinking.
The crash happened Thursday evening on Kellogg near Dugan. Wichita police say the man was trying to cross the highway when he was hit by a woman in an SUV. They say the woman could not avoid hitting the man. Pedestrians are not allowed on that part of the highway.
Investigators say the man was taken to a Wichita hospital with a crushed pelvis. They believe he had been drinking.
The crashed forced eastbound Kellogg to closed for sometime while police investigated the accident.
