Kansas State ranked 22nd in first BCS standings

{MANHATTAN, Kan.} — The first Bowl Championship Series rankings are out and the Kansas State Wildcats broke into the top 25 being ranked 22nd in week one of the standings.  The 'Cats also received votes in the Associated Press' top 25 poll as well as being ranked 25th in the Harris poll.

The Oklahoma Sooners took the number one spot in the first B.C.S. rankings with Oregon ranked 2nd, Boise St. 3rd, Auburn 4th and T.C.U. rounding out the top 5. 

The rest of the Big 12 conference fared pretty well in the first week of the B.C.S.  Missouri is ranked 11th, Oklahoma State is 14th while Nebraska comes in at number 16.

Kansas State is back on the road this coming Saturday at Baylor while the Kansas Jayhawks are at home for homecoming against Texas A&M.
