(WICHITA, Kan.) — Saturday's machinists vote at Hawker Beechcraft was still on the minds of many today. Some worry the no vote will affect the local economy.

"Isn't having a lower salary better than not having a job?" said one Wichita resident.

No matter where you go in Wichita, it seems like everyone has an opinion about Hawker Beechcraft machinists rejecting Saturday's contract.

Someone posted this message on our facebook page: "Sure hope the 100% pay cut and loss of insurance was worth it to you all! Your selfishness just cost a lot of families any sense of security."

The vote was even the hot topic on many radio stations. Some Hawker Beechcraft employees called in to KFDI radio to explain why they voted no.

"people are so disgusted with the company that the attitude spilled out on the street into the contract vote," said one radio caller.

Lots of opinions and lots of talk, sure to go on until the future of Hawker in Wichita is known.
