(WICHITA, Kan.) — Wichita-area law enforcement agencies will work together for a sobriety checkpoint this weekend along Kellogg in Wichita.
The Wichita Police Department, Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office and the Kansas Highway patrol will all take part in the checkpoint Friday night and Saturday morning.
During the patrol, officers will briefly stop drivers to check their license and registration. Police say drivers who appear impaired will be held for further evaluation.
The Wichita Police Department says, of the 24 traffic deaths this year, 15 have involved alcohol.
