Surveillance images from Great Plains Credit Union robbery

(WICHITA, Kan.) — Police investigate a credit union robbery in central Wichita. The robbery happened around 3:40 Thursday afternoon at the Great Plains Credit Union near Central & Hillside.

Eyewitnesses say the man jumped the counter, grabbed cash, and ran off. The employees and two customers were inside at the time. No one was hurt.

Police have not made any arrests.

Suspect description:
  • Black male
  • 5'09"/200 lbs.
  • Wearing dark clothing and used a gray tee shirt as a mask to conceal his face.
  • Wearing blue latex gloves
  • Carrying a handgun.
