(WICHITA, Kan.) — Singer Taylor Swift made a quick trip to Wichita Wednesday. The superstar appeared on Carol Hughes' mid-day show on KFDI-FM.

Swift and Hughes are friends. Swift says she wanted to stop by and celebrate her No. 1 single, "Mine."

Swift's record company, Big Machine, flew the singer into Wichita's Mid-Continent Airport for the interview.

Swift's third album, "Speak Now," went immediately to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 1,047,000 million sold in its first week this week. It's the largest sales week for an album since 1995.

It's Swift's second album to top the Billboard 200 following her sophomore "Fearless" release, which flew in with 592,000 in November of 2008.

Taylor Swift has also sold the most digital music downloads in history.
