(WICHITA, Kan.) — Investigators in Winfield say someone intentionally set three mobile homes on fire.
The fire happened about seven miles southeast of Winfield in Cowley County. Firefighters got to the scene around nine o'clock Wednesday. When they arrived, two homes had already collapsed in flames and another mobile home was engulfed in fire.
Captain Stuart Cassaboom with the Winfield Fire Department says all of the homes were abandoned. He says none of them had electrical or gas service hooked up. Cassaboom says the owners were trying to fix them up.
All three homes were destroyed. The Cowley County Sheriff's Department is looking for suspects.
