Investigators trying to determine cause of deadly accident in Butler county

November 30, 2010|by Jennifer Searle | KWCH 12 Eyewitness News

(EL DORADO, Kan.) — Butler County Sheriff Craig Murphy says investigators don't know what caused Wendy Arnold to leave the road in the 9500 block of SW Haverhill Road.

Sheriff deputies found Arnold's car upside down in a ditch around 2 p.m. Monday.

Murphy says it appears she was northbound on Haverhill when she crossed the southbound lane, went into the ditch, hit an embankment and overturned.

Arnold, a 37 year old from the Augusta area, was pulled from the car and taken to an El Dorado hospital where she later died.

Investigators continue looking into the cause of the crash.
