Three arrested in bank robbery

(WICHITA, Kan.) — Wichita police say formal charges are expected soon against three men arrested in a bank robbery Wednesday.

Two 28-year-old men are in the Sedgwick County Jail awaiting charges. The third suspect, who turns 29 today, is in the hospital with two gunshot wounds.

One of three suspects in a bank robbery Wednesday morning is hospitalized after being shot by police.  The robbery happened just after 10:30 at the Equity Bank in the 500 block of N. Webb Road. 

The shooting about 15 minutes later near an apartment complex at 21st between Woodlawn and Oliver.

The suspect who was shot was rushed to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Two other suspects were arrested later.

No one was hurt.
