(WICHITA, Kan.) — A 46-year-old man is serious condition after being struck by a car while riding his bike. It happened just north of Mt. Vernon on Hillside around 9:20 Saturday morning.
Police say a woman in a car was driving in the same lane as the bicyclist when she struck him from behind.
The man's injuries are not considered life-threatening. Police say his helmet may have saved his life.
No one in the car was hurt.
