{SAN DIEGO, Cal.} — David Kyles led the Shockers once again with 18 points but it wasn't enough as the Shocks fell to 17th ranked San Diego State on Saturday night 83-69.

The first half was a very back and forth game with multiple lead changes.  Kyles was hot early going three for three from beyond the arc and finishing off a beautiful alley oop courtesy of a perfect lob by Ben Smith.  However Kyles wasn't getting much help from the rest of the Shockers' offense and 5 Shocks had 2 fouls on them very early in the game.

On the other side of the ball it was Billy White and Kawhi Leonard combining for 42 points to lead the way for the Aztecs.  Leonard was pretty close to recording a triple-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 steals.  The Aztecs dominated the Shockers on the boards nabbing 13 more rebounds and the Shockers.

Wichita State was sloppy in the second half and ended up turning the ball over 13 times in the game compared to the Aztecs' 7.

J.T. Durley only played 5 minutes against the Aztecs but managed to drop in 8 points.  Toure Murry was the second-leading scorer for the Shocks with 11 points but he paired that with 4 turnovers.  Graham Hatch scored 9 and added 3 rebounds.  Gabe Blair was the leading rebounder for Wichita State with just 5 boards.  In 34 minutes of play Garrett Stutz scored just 3 points and pulled in just 2 rebounds.

Wichita State (5-2) is back home next Friday against Nicholls State (3-2).
