(WICHITA, Kan.) — A well-known children's book author makes a stop in Wichita to inspire some creative writing.
Author Keith Baker has written and illustrated 20 children's books.
He travels around the country to teach kids about the process and gives advice on how to make books more imaginative.
Many kids who came to the seminar have already written their own books and wanted to share them with Baker.
He says kids today are more creative.
"Its part of the school curriculum in many places that students are starting to write in kindergarten and write creatively because i think people have learned that writing is all about thinking and you can write as well as you can think so i see it a lot," says Keith Baker.
Baker encouraged parents to keep their kids writing even during summer months.
