(HUTCHINSON, Kan.) — Hutchinson emergency crews reopen the intersection of Avenue A & Poplar after a deadly crash involving three cars.
Police say the accident happened just after 5 o'clock Thursday evening.
Witnesses tell them a car heading northbound on Poplar failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection.
The car was then hit on the driver's side by a Jeep SUV. As it continued in a northeast direction on Avenue A, it was struck on the passenger's side by a Ford F250 Pickup.
The driver of the car, Nola Rumsey, 73, of Hutchinson, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The collision is still under investigation.
