(WICHITA, Kan.) — A motorcycle rider is killed in an accident Saturday morning at MacArthur and I-235 in Wichita.
Wichita police investigators say a motorcycle was driving on MacArthur under the highway overpass at the same time a truck was turning left off the southbound off ramp. The two vehicles collided and the rider was thrown from his motorcycle.
Investigators say high speed was a factor in the crash. They say the 23-year-old rider was wearing a helmet. His name has not been released.
The interchange was closed for hours after the accident as investigators looked further into what happened.
