One person dies following vehicle accident in Southeast Wichita

(WICHITA, Kan.) — Wichita police have identified the man killed in Sunday morning's accident at Harry and George Washington Boulevard.

He was 68 year old Arlow Goosen.

Police say Goosen was riding in the car that ran the red light.

One person has died, and six others are hospitalized Sunday morning following an accident at a busy Wichita intersection.

The accident happened around 11:25, at the intersection of Harry & George Washington Boulevard.

Wichita Police say a car East bound on Harry ran a red light, colliding with an SUV that was northbound on George Washington Boulevard.

A 68-year-old man, who was a passenger in the East bound car, died shortly after the accident. 

Six other people were transported to various hospitals in Wichita. Officers on the scene say the remaining 3 people in the car have serious, but not life threatening injuries.

The Wichita Police Department is investigating the accident.
