Salina teen arrested after choking incident

(SALINA, Kan.) — A 13-year-old boy was booked into the Saline County Juvenile Detention Center Wednesday after he allegedly put a choke hold on another 13-year-old boy in the hall between classes at Lakewood Middle School and caused the boy to pass out.

According to our news partners at The Salina Journal, the boy who was choked regained consciousness and was taken to Salina Regional Health Center for evaluation following the incident, which occurred about  1:10 p.m. at the school at 1135 Lakewood.

Police say the incident occurred without provocation, and there was no animosity between the two boys prior to the occurrence.
