More information released on northwest Wichita stabbing

(WICHITA, Kan.) — Officials are releasing more information on a stabbing that occurred in Northwest Wichita Friday night.

A 54-year-old victim was rushed to the hospital after a argument turned violent in the 3400 block of West 53rd Street.

The victims friend was involved in the argument when the suspect drew a knife and cut him in the chest. That's when the 54-year-old tried to help and was stabbed in the face, arm and leg by the suspect. The other man stabbed was treated at the scene.

A 28-year-old suspect was arrested after he fled from the scene. He was booked into the Sedgwick County Detention Facility for attempted murder.
