Trial date set for former McPherson teacher in sex case

(McPHERSON, Kan.) — A trial date has been set for a former McPherson High School teacher accused of having sex with a
16-year-old student.

Todd Brittingham is charged in McPherson County District Court with four counts of unlawful sexual relations with a student and
one count of furnishing alcohol to a minor for illicit purposes.

The Hutchinson News reports that his trial is scheduled for March 30.

A former English teacher and soccer coach, Brittingham is accused of having sex with the female student between May and July
2009.
 
He was arrested in February 2010 and is free on $10,000 bond.
