(DERBY, Kan.) — Derby police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred shortly before noon on Monday.

Officers say a woman was attacked in her home on the east side of the city by a man wearing a black ski mask. Police have called a community meeting this weekend to answer questions about the sexual assault.

The attacker is described as being 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10 with a medium build. He wore jeans and a dark colored shirt.

The community meeting will be held at two o'clock on Sunday in the City Council Room at City Hall. Officers will provide crime prevention tips as well as answer questions about the attack.
