(Marion County, Kan.) — An accident on Friday evening kills two people.
Markus L. Ivy of Wichita was westbound on U.S. Route 50 when he crossed the center line for an unknown reason. Ivy's vehicle sideswiped an eastbound semi.
Ivy, 37 years old, was killed in the crash. He was wearing a seat belt. Thirty-two year-old Sarah M. Esgro, also from Wichita, was killed in the crash as well. She was not wearing a seat belt.
Another passenger in the vehicle, Owen L. Nave, was taken to Wesley Medical Center. He is currently in critical condition.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
The accident occurred one mile east of Peabody.
