Storm Team 12: Windy and cooler for Monday

April 03, 2011|By Meteorologist Ross Janssen | Storm Team 12

Strong north winds will bring in MUCH cooler air for Monday. Although it may not be as windy as it was on Sunday, expect some gusts to reach 40 mph during the early afternoon. Temperatures around the state will be about 30 degrees cooler with highs ranging from 50 - 55 around most of the region. Clouds will move out and the afternoon should turn out to be mostly sunny.

After seeing chilly temperatures Tuesday morning, expect a nice warmup with gusty south winds for Tuesday afternoon. Highs will rebound into the mid 70s across western Kansas with central and eastern Kansas being closer to 70.
