(NEAR MATFIELD GREEN, Chase County) — Two semi drivers have minor injuries after their semis overturn late Thursday night.
The Kansas Turnpike Authority says high winds caused the accidents.
The first semi overturned in the Matfield Green service area in southern Chase County. The second semi overturned in the southbound lane of I-35 just north of the same service area.
Severe weather moved through the area late Thursday night. The storm was capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds up to 60 miles per hour.
The KTA says they were in a high wind advisory at the time of the accidents.
No one else was hurt.
