Storm Team 12: Picture perfect weekend

April 16, 2011|By Meteorologist Dean Jones | Storm Team 12

Now that the wind and rain has exited Kansas, a very nice weekend is headed our way.  In the wake of the storm, some chilly air has worked into the state this morning with temperatures below freezing across north central and western Kansas.  Sunshine throughout the day will warm us up into the 60s and lower 70s by afternoon, so a perfect day for a round of golf, baseball or just about any outdoor activity.

Sunday looks to be a carbon copy of Saturday, just a little warmer.  Plenty of mid-April sunshine and southwesterly winds will push our temperatures into the 70s and lower 80s.  Dry weather will continue into Monday, before the next system approaches on Monday evening.

Our next chance of precipitation comes Monday night into Tuesday and again on Thursday.
