Shooting by Wichita officer justified

(WICHITA, Kan.) — The district attorney's review of a Wichita police officers use of deadly force is complete and ruled as justified.

On November 5th, 2010 an officer shot and killed 32-year-old Jerome Dixon. Investigators say that Dixon raised his gun ant police, when he didn't put the gun down, police shot him.

He died at a Wichita hospital. Investigators concluded that Dixon was armed with a loaded gun, and him made a statement indicating his intent to "shoot the gun."

The District Attorney is required to review the results of the investigation in cases like this.
