(WICHITA, Kan.) — Maybe you noticed you're water bill being higher than normal.
This was the case for some people in Wichita. Officials from the city say there are two reasons for that.
The first reason, a delay due to heavy snow in late january and early february. Because of the weather conditions..crews were unable to read meters on schedule. Some bills were delayed and covered five to six weeks of service because of this.
The second reason, a malfunctioning electronic meter reading device. Officials say it failed to transmit actual water usage. The errors were discovered later and are now showing up on some bills.
