Lady Tigers pound out 20 runs in double header sweep of Truman

HAYS, Kansas — Fighting for its season the, suddenly red hot Fort Hays State softball team put up 20 runs, to easiley win a double header with Truman State.

In game one, Fort Hays State scored six runs in the first and third innings en route to the 12-0 win in five innings. The Tigers hit four home runs in the game.

In game two, The Tigers jumped out to a fast start in game two as well, scoring twice in the first and second innings to take an early 4-0 lead. They added three in the fourth and then Adriana Wortley ended the doubleheader in the fifth with a solo home run, her third homer of the afternoon. The final in game the final was 8-0.

The wins huge for the Lady Tigers who wrap up a in spot next weekend's MIAA tourament. FHSU is 6th, with the top 8 teams making the field.
