HAYS, Kansas — On a perfect day for baseball, the Tigers were anything but it their MIAA double header with Wasburn Tuesday afternoon at Larks Park.
In game one, FHSU broke open a 2-2 tie with a 3 run 5th inning and then they added a two runs in the 6th. But the Ichabods snatched victory from the Tigers, they two put up two runs in the 6th and then got a 4 spot in 7th, to pick up an 8-7 victory.
Fort Hays got payback in game two. FHSU was the team that was down, trailing 7-6 in the 6th inning. The Tigers got three runs in the 6th and two in the 8th to pick up the 11-7 win.
Fort Hays State is now 26-20 overall and 23-17 in the MIAA.
