Motorcycle rider critically hurt in downtown Wichita crash

(WICHITA, Kan.) — A 58-year-old man is in the hospital after being struck by a pickup while riding his motorcycle early Tuesday morning.

It happened around 4:20 this morning at Kellogg near the Central Business District.  Police say a 21-year-old was driving the pickup when it hit the motorcycle.

That driver was not seriously hurt, police say he was arrested on suspicion of DUI and for outstanding warrants.

The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.  Police say he was not wearing a helmet.
