KHP investigates deadly crash near Howard

(ELK COUNTY, Kan.) — The Kansas Highway Patrol investigates a deadly accident Monday in Elk County.

Investigators say a driver was northbound on K-99 about 15 miles south of Howard, drove off the ridge edge of the road and overcorrected. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its top.

The identity of the person killed in the crash has not been released.
