(WICHITA, Kan.) — Wichita police say a man was hoping for divine intervention and praying for his fiancée to come back to life.
Police say a 57-year-old woman died at least a week ago, but her 54-year-old fiancée continued living in the home on S. St. Clair.
The woman's family became concerned because they couldn't get a hold of her, so they contacted police. Officers checked the home, but the man would not let them in.
Police could smell odor coming from the house and found the woman inside.
Foul play is not expected, but an autopsy will be performed on the body.
