The clouds cleared out overnight and the winds backed-off allowing temperatures to tumble into the mid 30s over parts of Kansas early Monday morning with patchy frost in a few spots. Monday afternoon sunshine and
warmer weather is slated for all areas. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.
Look for slightly warmer temperatures Tuesday with highs in the low to mid 70s.
We still expect the next chance for rain to arrive out in western Kansas by Tuesday night then region wide Wednesday afternoon and evening. Right now it's not clear if the storms will be severe, so check back for updates as we get closer to midweek.
Wednesday's weather-maker looks like it will be a slow mover resulting in more chances for rain and storms Thursday and Friday.
The weekend looks warm and dry with highs in the 80s.
