{PEORIA, Ill.} — Wichita State got complete game performances from Brian Flynn and Josh Smith in today's double-header, sweeping Bradley in their regular season finale.

Flynn was nails in the first game, going the distance and striking out a career-high ten batters in the process.  A two-run home run by Chris O'Brien in the second inning gave the Shockers and early 2-0 lead and extended his hitting streak to 23 games.  Kevin Hall and Tyler Grimes also recorded R.B.I. in the game that Wichita State went on to win 5-1.

In the second half of the double-header Josh Smith got the start and was just as nasty as Flynn.  Smith also went a complete game giving up no runs, walking just one batter and striking out 7.

Hits were at a premium in the second game with the Shockers actually getting out-hit 5-2.  Preston Springer's sacrifice fly in the first inning produced the lone run of the game.

Of the 2 hits that Wichita State got in game one, one of them went to O'Brien. That means O'Brien ended the regular season on a 24-game hitting streak.

The Shockers get the sweep of the Braves and have now won 5 straight to finish the regular season.

As of the end of the second game Wichita State holds a one game lead on the Creighton Blue Jays.  Creighton will play Missouri State tonight at 7 pm and Sunday at 1 pm.
